At Speaker Booking Agency (SBA), our goal is to ensure a smooth and successful experience when booking talent for your events. We understand that plans may change and strive to be as fair and transparent as possible in our refund and cancellation practices.


1. Deposit and Payment Terms

To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit (typically 50% of the total fee, unless otherwise specified in your agreement) is required. The remaining balance is due on or before the date outlined in your contract or event timeline.


2. Cancellation by Client

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the following terms apply:

  • More than 30 days before the event:
    Any amount paid beyond the non-refundable deposit may be eligible for a partial refund, minus any non-recoverable expenses or administrative fees incurred by SBA.

  • Less than 30 days before the event:
    Cancellations within 30 days of the scheduled event are generally non-refundable, due to the planning, coordination, and commitment of resources.


3. Cancellation by Speaker

In the rare event a speaker must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency, travel issues), SBA will:

  • Make every reasonable effort to secure a suitable replacement within your budget and event requirements

  • If a replacement cannot be secured or agreed upon, a full refund of any fees paid for the speaker will be issued


4. Force Majeure

SBA is not liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other emergencies. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or issue a credit toward a future booking where possible.


5. No-Show Policy

If the client fails to fulfill their obligations (e.g., providing necessary details, completing payments, or appearing at the event), this will be treated as a cancellation, and refunds will not be issued.


6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days to the original payment method. Transaction or processing fees charged by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe) may be non-refundable.
